Support Services

YOS offers an evidence-based treatment model that provides a comprehensive range of community-based mental health and support services for youth who experience mental illness or have co-occurring mental health, or alcohol/substance abuse disorders. The treatment requires an intensive, integrated package of services that is provided by a team of professionals from various disciplines over an extended period of time. ‘Linkage to Services’ refers to the process of connecting clients with other relevant services such as social services, support groups, residential services, vocational services, job training services, rehabilitation services, or any other suitable services. Our services provide coordination, support, and advocacy for youth who have multiple needs and require assistance obtaining them. Our staff, who have received extensive training, collaborate closely with our clients to:

  • Ensure all youth are linked to a provider capable of providing the appropriate level of services required to stabilize the youth.
  • Assess clients’ needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals.
  • Assistance in making an effective transition to a safe living arrangement.
  • Help find medical, child welfare, employment, and other services youth need to live independently.
