Community-based substance use intervention services are provided to youth who have experienced challenges based on their use of alcohol or other drugs. Youth are assisted in understanding how substance use is negatively affecting their life and assist in developing skills to reduce and eliminate substance use.
YOS is also the sole provider of substance abuse screening, assessment, and treatment services at the Illinois Youth Center facilities around Illinois. These youth prisons are located in:
- Chicago
- St. Charles
- Warrenville
- Pere Marquette
