Lewis Lovelace has dedicated nearly three decades to improving outcomes for youth and families across Chicago through leadership in child welfare, behavioral health, education, and program quality. As Director of Quality Improvement at Youth Outreach Services (YOS), Lewis leads the agency’s quality improvement initiatives, overseeing data integrity, performance measurement, compliance, and continuous quality improvement efforts that strengthen services for youth and families.
Since beginning his career in 1997, Lewis has served in a variety of impactful roles, including child welfare worker, substance use counselor, educational advocate for youth involved with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), clinical case manager in a residential treatment setting, Intake Manager for Independent Living Programs, and supervisor of an after-school enrichment program serving youth in specialized foster care. He joined YOS as a Data Specialist and, through his expertise in data management, program evaluation, and organizational improvement, was promoted to Director of Quality Improvement in 2020.
Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Information Systems Security Management from Colorado Technical University. His unique blend of clinical experience, data expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement helps ensure YOS delivers high-quality, data-driven, and trauma-informed services that create lasting positive outcomes for youth and families.
