Monica Montgomery joined YOS in June 2011, bringing a strong academic background in psychology, behavioral science, and social services. She is dedicated to supporting at-risk youth and their families while empowering individuals—a core value that guides her work at YOS and beyond.
With over 20 years of experience in social services, Monica has excelled in mentoring at-risk youth and has held various leadership positions before assuming her current role as the Redeploy Director. Her expertise encompasses pretrial counseling, mental health advocacy, crisis intervention, homelessness navigation, reentry support, child welfare, and residential facility management. This experience has been crucial in helping the organization develop several successful programs that have significantly reduced incarceration rates among justice-involved youth. Her diverse background enables her to address complex social issues effectively.
Throughout her career, Monica has consistently demonstrated her ability to connect vulnerable populations with essential resources to achieve meaningful results. Her passion and commitment to YOS programs foster personal growth, inspire lasting change, and instill hope for positive outcomes in the communities she serves. Monica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from National Louis University and has obtained her Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) certification.
