Child Welfare

Child Welfare Services seek to ensure the safety and well-being of youth and their families. We strive to keep families together by providing support and education to those at risk of separation. Specific services include:

Become a Host Home Parent
The YOS Transitions Program provides safe homes and care to runaway and homeless youth for up to 18 months. To meet this need, YOS partners with dedicated Host Home Families willing to provide housing, encouragement and the support youth need to succeed.

Become a Foster Parent!
Being a kid is tough. Being a kid without a family is even tougher. Sadly, there are hundreds of foster kids in Chicago in need of just that – individuals to love and care for them.

Youth Outreach Services is seeking foster parents willing to provide loving homes for these kids. Many are victims of abuse and crises, and they need a stable home in which they can thrive.
